Dear Friends:
Our Dealers’ Meeting, which was held at my Museum
in Waynesboro, Virginia, this past weekend, was most productive. About
forty authorized Moss dealers joined members of my staff and me to learn
about a new software program by LifeSaver Software that enables the
customer to see a virtual image of a framed print, starting with just
the print, the mat, and the molding corners they have selected in a
frame shop or gallery. The Museum’s Administrator Bonnie Stump
conducted a very informative session on my miniature watercolors as
well as the processes and materials used in finer printmaking. We were
also very excited to be able to show the dealers some new products we’re
working on and plan to have ready this fall.
Pat makes a point at the breakfast session of the P. Buckley Moss
Dealers' Meeting held at the Museum in Waynesboro this past weekend.
During a break in sessions, gallery owners exchange ideas and experiences,
surrounded by Pat's art in the research room of the Museum.
There will be four new porcelain keepsake boxes. They
will be round, about 5 1/2 inches in diameter, with some of our favorite
images: The Hummingbird, Under the Mistletoe, Kindergarten
Days, and Our Anniversary. These boxes will be great for
jewelry, small sewing notions, loose change, or anything else you may
want to keep safe and tidy.
The four porcelain boxes due out this fall, each bearing a beautiful
P. Buckley Moss image in lustrous color for that special occasion or
that special someone.
We’ve also been working on a high quality collectible
pendant. My images will be fired onto fine porcelain and edged by a
beautiful sterling silver, silver plate or gold plate surround, which
can be hung from your own necklace. The porcelain images are designed
to be interchangeable; they attach to the surround by a magnet. This
means that you can choose an image to match your mood. We’re developing
multiple images so that you can buy one surround and collect different
images as they are produced. The porcelain images and the surround will
store nicely in the new porcelain keepsake boxes!
New jewelry under development. This picture shows the six images
that will be coming out this year. The images are on porcelain, with
a powerful magnet on the reverse side that secures the porcelain into
the surround. You can change the porcelain image in the surround according
to your mood. The surround will be made of sterling silver, silver plate
or gold plate. The porcelain images will be available individually or
as a set.
This Thursday I’m flying to Davenport, Iowa, for
the P. Buckley Moss Society’s
regional Chapter Training session and for a weekend show with Woodland
Gallery. I’m excited about the work the chapters do for the charities
they support and to be involved with people who care about one another.
I’m looking forward to seeing so many of my Iowan friends and
the beauty of the area. The Mississippi River winds past Davenport,
and the scenery is wonderful! After Woodland Gallery’s show Saturday
evening, there will be a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi and a fundraising
auction for the P. Buckley Moss
Foundation for Children’s Education.
St. Ambrose University, to be released at Woodland Gallery's show,
Davenport, Iowa, August 5-6.
The following weekend, August 12-13, I’ll be seeing
my Virginian friends, and some from other states, too, at my Collectors’
Convention in Roanoke. It’s going to be great fun!
’Til next week…
Love,
Pat
